ABOUT THE ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNALISM CREATORS PROGRAM:

The EJCP is a virtual 100-day program for creators from all around the world. Join us to build your own new niche newsletter, podcast, or site. Participants develop new product ideas and explore business models to make their journalism sustainable.

Applications for the Fall cohort are open

 through September 6 at 11:59 p.m. ET.  Classes take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am-12pm ET from October 25 - Feb 2.

leads the Entrepreneurial Journalism Creators Program and serves as Director of Teaching and Learning at the Newmark J-School. 

(EJCP4) is a multimedia journalist and documentary maker with more than 15 years of experience, focusing on human rights and politics. Born in Brazil, she was based for a decade in Venezuela, covering the intense years of Hugo Chávez and reporting across Latin America, mainly for BBC Brasil. Since 2015, she has been based in Thailand and working across Southeast Asia, where she now focuses on migration, modern slavery, and human trafficking. In 2021, Jardim was a member of the jury of the Gabriel García Marquez Prize. Also in 2021, with the ICFJ’s supports, she started to develop a narrative podcast about modern slavery. Jardim holds an M.A. in Latin American History and has a diploma in journalism.

(EJCP2) is an independent journalist, editor, and writing teacher. She has published in outlets including 

, Augustin, Radio Orange 94.0, managed print and online projects for media publishing houses, and conducted seminars for companies, NGOs, and institutes. Sie holds a master’s degree in Journalism and New Media and Economic and Society of East Asia. Sie developed a black-led, EU-wide, multilingual online magazine focusing on structural racism, possible solutions, and black personalities’ and communities’ achievements. The prototype, 

, has been awarded with the Stars4Media diversity prize.

 (EJCP4) publishes DC Metro Theater Arts, Washington, D.C.‘s dedicated performing arts website, and is a freelance writer covering performing arts in the Washington, D.C. region. Nicole received a B.A. in English from the University of Cincinnati and an M.A. in International Affairs from Columbia University. She studied journalism at Georgetown University and was a 2019 National Critics Institute Fellow at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center.

ABOUT THE EXECUTIVE PROGRAM IN NEWS INNOVATION AND LEADERSHIP

The Executive Program is a year-long hybrid program global, rigorous program that runs from September 2023 to June 2024 and operates under a hybrid model of weekly virtual classes and leadership workshops, and three in-person residencies in New York City. The program welcomes news leaders from the editorial, product, tech, and business sides of news organizations with the goal of diversifying the news industry at the leadership level.
