Noah Landow

I founded and am a partner in Macktez, an IT firm that has worked with creative and innovative companies solving technology challenges for over twenty-five years. I study and teach Aikijujitsu Daito-ryu, a traditional Japanese martial art from which Aikido derived. (I hold the rank of Yondan, or fourth degree black belt.) I serve as the board president for UnionDocs, a center for documentary art in Queens. I am on the board of a cultural non-profit The Victorian Web, a site that began in 1987 (pre-http/web) as a means of helping scholars and students see connections between different fields; the site today provides an enormous amount of extremely high quality, meticulous information about Victorian arts and culture. Under the name Ligament, for twenty years I designed ornament and jewelry and for a decade produced social events. I still take photographs and occasionally write. My pronouns are he, him, his (and they is fine too). I split my time between Providence, Rhode Island and the East Village of New York City.
