Work on Climate - November Edition

Do you wonder what the world will look like in the future?

​​This is the second part of this workshop we conducted last month. In this second part, we will reflect on the relevant future trends regarding Climate Change and the socio-techno-economic interplay we identified in the first part.

 we will then develop possible future scenarios that should motivate to act. We will use artistic forms to faciliate this, so get ready to move about a little bit and think out of the box.

: If you didn't manage to attend the first part of this workshop, don't worry! We will reflect again on the outputs of the first part so we are all on the same page. 

is a multidisciplinary scientist with a degree in Molecular Biology, a Ph.D. in Systems Neuroscience, postdoctoral training in Complexity and Computational Social Science. Having worked in eleven different institutes, across five different countries (Austria, Singapore, USA, Japan, Portugal), she planned, implemented and managed a variety of complex technology-driven interdisciplinary research projects. She has vast experience in Science Communication and Public Outreach and enjoys acting as an assertive diplomat between science, art, society and policy. Simone is a passionate public speaker and, as ReMO Ambassador and the founder of The Empathic Scientist, Soapbox Science Lisbon, We and Climate Circle and Salon Luminosa, she is an advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion and wellbeing in academia and beyond.

Work on Climate - September Edition

Discover Regen Waves - An adaptive, community driven, Regenerative Food & Medicinal Forest!

Join us for a transformative experience at Regen Waves, a pioneering regenerative learning hub, just a short journey away from Lisbon. This immersive event, led by the facilitator Mathias Davesne, offers a unique opportunity to explore regenerative principles, sustainable land management, and the fascinating world of regenerative plants.

Time: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM (10:00 AM - 1:00 PM spent at the visit, an hour each way for travel)

During this event, you will discover the vision behind Regen Waves,  and the innovative methods they employ in their regenerative practices. The day will commence with a gathering at Campo Grande at 8:45 AM, where transportation to Regen Waves will be arranged for all participants. (You are also welcome to arrange your own transportation)

Climate Circle Lisbon presents....Climate Trips

We are a group of adventurous people looking for nature's beauty and the places contributing to the solution of the climate crisis.

In this first edition, we will visit the Monsanto Forest Park and admire its magnificent natural landscape. 

We will meet in the car parking in the east side of the forest at 3pm, and we'll do a hike through the park (approximately 1h30). After this, we'll rest a bit and enjoy the surroundings while doing a little picnic.

During the event, we'll also discuss the best ways to proceed with these trips going forward.

The Climate Trips are an initiative to explore the places making positive contributions to the climate crisis, with the objective of learning about them and giving them a proper appreciation.
