Demo Day

UBCFA and UBC Blockchain welcome you to the second annual Intro to crypto night! This year, with a special focus on Decentralized Finance, also known as DeFi. Join us and our panel of DeFi experts as we break down the basics of DeFi, discuss its potential use cases, and open up the floor for any questions that audience members may have!

: A Strategic Advisor at Kujira, an innovative decentralized finance application on the Cosmos blockchain that creates tools to give investors affordable and easy-to-use DeFi investment tools. 

There will be food and drinks provided at the end of the event, along with an opportunity to network amongst other like-minded students, and industry professionals!

Intro to DeFi Night

Binance has been the biggest company in the crypto space since they were founded in 2017. Since then they have grown to a 100B + company and have expanded into many different verticals.

We have partnered with them to provide opportunities for UBC Students! Come learn about Binance's operations, its role in the crypto industry, and potential job/internship opportunities. Network with Binance employees and club members with some food and drinks this Monday evening.

Our Developer Workshop Series is an 11-week program that teaches you the basics of interacting with blockchains, writing smart contracts, building financial applications, and more! Come learn new skills, make connections, and find work in the fastest-growing industry!

You will work alongside top companies and receive immutable certifications of your new skills to build your digital resume. Our course will be conducted in person every Wednesday at UBC Sauder, HA 492.  

This course is designed for those with a basic computer programming background, but is open to anyone! We encourage all ambitious students to join us in learning about innovative technology.
