These weekly get together are our chance to catch up and discuss upcoming projects.

ASBP - Mastetmind

Meeting like minded people is for sure one of the parts of the artworld, specially after the last couple of years, meeting in person is more important than ever, with this in mind we will start hosting live events at a premium location in Berlin.

This will be our first edition, a good opportunity to think about the format these events could take in the future. 

Think about this first edition as a blank slate, on witch we can sketch ideas together.

For MINTWOCH #1 I'd like to propose a show and tell setting, where each participant will have 5 minutes to present their work on an available screen. 

After each presentation, the audience will be able to ask their questions.

At the start, you just want to make enough money selling your art to make a living and once you get that far, you know you’ll be able to scale it up.

How do you make money? Well, you need people willing to part with their money in exchange for your art. There are seven billion people in the world… some of them are going to want what you’re making, right? YES, that is right. If you’re creating good quality art, whatever the style or genre, there will be a large number of people out there who want it. Way more than enough to make a good living.

But the BIG question, and the one that trips up most aspiring artists, is 

where do you find these potential customers?

how can you get them to want to buy what YOU’RE making?

Our Bootcamp is designed to answer these 2 questions

, in enough detail that you don’t get lost at any stage along the way.

A 7-week long program, focusing on helping you develop a better art practice. You’ll join a group of artists from across the world learning and growing together.

This workshop is designed to help artist transform their practice into a thriving art business. 

We know that most artists struggle with the business side of their art practice, it always feels easier creating the art, than selling the art. 

On this workshop we help artists develop their own workflows and methods to to build thriving art practices! 

Over the workshop will go thru a step-by-step run of everything that is important for an art career, such as writing your artist statement, preparing a price list, building a community, selling art online and much more. 

The workshop also provides additional resources and videos recorded on the topic for future use. 

Atendees can also choose to join the ARTIST STOP BEING POOR community, created to help empower artists and create group exhibitions across the world. 

ARTIST STOP BEING POOR is an online community of artists with members across the globe, working together to empower each other and create collective opportunities to grow their careers. 

The workshop will be hosted by Stephan van Kuyk, artist, art dealer, and consultant with over a decade in the art world, organizing exhibitions, selling art, and empowering artists.

How to make money as an Artist? 📍 Berlin

We are happy to invite you to the very first garden concert. This intimate experience will be hosted in the garden of our studio in Neukolln, an exciting environment to enjoy the musical lineup.

Doors open at 5 and the concert starts at 6, so we ask you to come punctually so as not to disturb the performances. We will have some drinks available, but we invite you to bring your own picnic setup.

Born in Taiwan and reared on-the-go between Taipei, Boulder, and the American Southwest, Eric Pan found his musical footing with the discovery of jazz at the University of California, Santa Cruz. These studies propelled him onto stages with Jeff Hamilton and Roy Hargrove, plus over a decade’s tenure as New York City jazz pianist and composer. Pan’s compositions and improvisations reveal a relentless pursuit of simplicity, craft, and universality.

For Josephine, each song is an emancipation. As a writer, composer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist, Josephine Pia Wild has been celebrated for her singular and enveloping voice, as well as for her groundbreaking approach towards the handpan as an instrument of complex musical possibilities. She’s currently wrapping up her debut LP — Nightfall, I surrender to you — a collection of songs channeling transcendent beauty from the chaos of personal experiences.

Brian Trahan is a pianist, composer, and singer-songwriter from north Chicago, playing soulful songs tackling love, grief, pleasure, and social challenges. Coming from a classical background, his approach is  intricate yet conceptual, aiming for musical healing and personal evolution.

You are cordially invited to the new exhibition of one of Berlin’s most beloved artists. Showcasing a vast selection of never-before-seen artworks, spanning a wide array of techniques, supports, and styles.

Forget everything you think you know about art shows, instead of the stuffy, boujie, traditional, vibes, this will be a true extravaganza of art filled with exciting, vibrant, and colourful art.

The exhibition will be opening on the 8th of October in the art space of the Nhow.

Additionally, the first 100 visitors will get a signed limited-edition print.

I’m Stephan van Kuyk, a Berlin-based artist. Born 1988 in Basel - Switzerland and moving to New Zealand, Brazil and Argentina before moving to Berlin in 2015. After a disastrous time in school, I decided that a ‘real-job’ probably wouldn’t work out for him, making me decide to go into the creative industries after school. Since starting my career in 2010 I had a chance to exhibit across the world, curate exhibitions, open an art gallery, initiate an online community for artists, organized art festivals, gave public talks, and consulted NFT companies among other activities in the art world. 

I’m presenting my new solo art exhibition: 

, a large body of new works, as well as some never before seen older works. #

This exhibition spans a large number of styles and subjects, but all works share a pop art soul and the keen sense of irony that is traditional to my works.

This is my biggest exhibition so far, so I’m pushing the boundaries and showcasing some of my best work yet, transforming the gallery space into a giant art playground rethinking the visitor's role in the exhibition.

Tape art is a fascinating technique that allows you to create unique artworks, even if you don't have any previous artistic experience. 

In this workshop, you'll be guided thru different styles of tape art, as well as how to use different tape materials, and use them to create artworks in your unique style.

No previous experience is required & All materials needed will be provided.

It was a true pleasure to have you guys over for the exhibition, I wanted to thank you all for your trust and for making this exhibition happen. 

Now it's time to pickup your artworks and dismantle the exhibition. 

But to not make this into a sad occasion, we will make it into an artist meetup, for a better chance to meet some of the other artists involved in the exhibition.

Obviously, I took this opportunity to bring on the greatest exhibition I could come up with, I'm super proud of the outcome.
