. In this book authors, Victor W. Hwang and Greg Horowitt introduce a radical theory to explain the nature of innovation ecosystems - human networks that generate extraordinary creativity and output.

Join the Rainforest Alberta community and one of its co-founders, 

 in exploring how the pillars of our ecosystem are optimized by social behaviours. These behaviours require trust across social barriers, encourage diversity and promote experimental collaboration. Greg will also share insights from his upcoming book.

Queer Innovation Meetup

Join Rainforest Alberta, Calgary Innovation Coalition and Platform Calgary in this educational and enlightening exercise led by Pam Sparklingeyes

You will get to participate in an interactive exercise, focused on sharing some of the key historic events between the Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples of Canada. The facilitators will lead participants through a script of events that will cover topics like treaty-making, colonization, resistance, land rights, and residential schooling. This is an opportunity to better understand and appreciate the history within Canada, as we work towards reconciliation and healing.

Rainforest is rethinking leadership - the leadership characteristics that got us here will not get us to where we need to go in our exponentially changing world. To match the velocity of change, we need trust. Join us to explore a new way of leading to foster trust within our ecosystem.

Rainforest Leadership Power Hour

Rainforest Alberta and inqli are embarking on an exciting pilot within the Calgary tech ecosystem.

inqli is an inclusive knowledge-sharing tool that we’ll be using to convene 

 in the innovation ecosystem. We like to call the inqli platform our “treehouse”. It’s a digital space to make connections and move you forward through your journey in tech and innovation. The platform matches individual’s questions to others diverse perspectives, knowledge, and to the opportunities available across our ecosystem. 

Join us on Friday for a soft launch of the inqli platform! We’ll explain what the pilot is all about and demonstrate how inqli works. At the end of the session you’ll get

The YYC Queer Innovation Meetups hosted by Amber Rowden to bring those who identify as LGTBTQS+ and are working in the tech sector, to meet and collaborate with the bigger  LGBTQ2S+ community and the bigger tech community. 

This meetup group is open to anyone who identifies as part of  the LGBTQ2S+ community, innovation community, and supportive allies. It is a safe space to make friends, collaborate and share ideas and have a good time doing so while breaking barriers and gaps in the tech industry and across sectors for those in the LGBTQ2S+ community.
