About Event

Join Textbook Ventures and friends from NYU, ER Accelerator, Columbia and Cornell for an evening of networking for accredited investors investing in early stage startups!

Whether you're an active investor already or looking to learn more about angel investing in startups as part of your portfolio, come enjoy drinks and snacks with your founder and angel peers and others supporting the best New York City startups.

We'll feature a short Introduction to Angel Investing (show up on time for that), with notes on deal flow, portfolio planning, and tax breaks (with Brown Rudnick's head of the VC and Startups practice Scott Smedresman!), followed by three amazing live deals to get you started!

All of our pitches are from ER Accelerator's latest cohort:

Electrify - Electrify is a vertical SaaS platform that provides lighting manufacturers with the rails to digitize their products, quotes, prices, and partner relationships. Our technology transforms antiquated, manual processes into a streamlined ecommerce experience for manufacturers and their channel partners.

Neta - Neta is the product packaging intelligence platform for consumer brands and their packaging suppliers. Starting with regulatory compliance as our wedge, we use AI to aggregate critical data —packaging specs, materials, sales, and laws. From there, we streamline how companies manage their packaging: optimizing design, reducing costs, and unlocking visibility across the $700B packaging supply chain.

Notifi - Notifi is the first communication-driven platform for home service businesses. We combine text, phone, and email into one system that drives sales, scheduling, dispatch, and payments. By turning conversations into action, we help businesses close more jobs, reduce admin work, and deliver a better customer experience.

If you're a current founder, come learn how you can begin using your knowledge and insights on building startups to angel invest now - you're likely already accredited because of your founding stake in your company!

Attendees should be interested in startups and meeting their investing peers - there's no requirement to invest and all interested and qualified investors will be invited to the Textbook Ventures angel syndicate, where they will have ongoing access to deal flow from the best startups from Cornell, Columbia, NYU, ERA and beyond.

Check out the syndicates (you'll need to join through AL) from our last event - closing soon!

Context Data: (NYU) Context Data is a go-to solution for enterprises looking to build custom, secure Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and generative AI applications—without the infrastructure headaches.
