About Event

The San José Climate Art Program invites its network to a special tour of the Palo Alto Art Center—a unique public-private partnership facility that combines the experience of seeing art with extensive studio spaces for making art for all ages. Attendees will visit the current exhibition Cut from the Same Cloth: Textile and Technology and tour the center's LEED silver building, during which will highlight some of the sustainable features of our repurposed City Hall building. Following the walking tour, we'll move to a meeting room for a conversation around our opportunities and challenges in promoting more sustainable practices. Join Karen Kienzle, Palo Alto Art Center Director, Director of Education Lucy Larson, and Studio Programs Director Fanny Retsek for this special visit and discussion.

The Palo Alto Art Center is located at 1313 Newell Rd, Palo Alto, CA 94303. Spaces are limited, so register early.

The San José Climate Art Program offers a series of tours, meetups, and workshops throughout Spring 2025, highlighting climate and environmental initiatives across the Bay Area. To learn more and get involved, please contact Devon Bella at devon.bella@sanjoseca.gov.
