The Art of Recommender Systems: Getting comfortable with Decision Automation
A recommender system works by making decisions that you and your human colleagues would regularly make.
Organizations that aren't used to using recommender systems are used to having a lot of visibility into which customers are getting communication about what products or brands, and often expect to be able to retrospectively ask why specific communication decisions were made.
Having a recommender system doesn't mean you lose all visibility into those issues, but it does mean you have to accept less clarity in exchange for greater efficiency and performance.
In this session, we'll discuss what recommender systems are automating, how a good implementation ensures quality automation, and how an organization will need to manage the change to greater automation.
