More About the Sharings
Dan (Director of Research), Patrick and Ivan (Analysts) from SemiAnalysis will be sharing a detailed analysis on the growing need for datacenters in Asia, exploring the entire AI stack from hardware and datacenters to neoclouds and applications. Their presentation will also compare inference demand and datacenter buildouts in the APAC region with those in the US. (Technical Level: 200)
More About the Speakers
Dan is the Director of Research at SemiAnalysis, where he leads analytical efforts across AI infrastructure and compute. With deep technical expertise and strategic insight, he leads research from transistor-level innovation to hyperscale AI deployment. Dan’s focus areas of research include Networking and Optical, AI Systems and Neocloud Systems and Economics. His work spans the full stack – producing influential research that supports decision makers at the world’s leading technology firms, investment funds, and beyond.
Patrick Zhou is an analyst at SemiAnalysis specializing in co-packaged optics (CPO), optical interconnects, and networking architecture. He covers how bandwidth, latency, and power constraints at scale are driving a shift toward optical solutions in AI infrastructure. His work bridges photonics innovation with the evolving needs of next-generation compute. Patrick holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Emory University and Master of Business Administration from the London Business School.
Ivan Chiam is an analyst at SemiAnalysis focused on the economics of AI accelerators, HBM, and GPU infrastructure. With a strong background in financial modeling and semiconductor markets, he brings a data-driven perspective to cost structures, supply-demand dynamics, and the business impact of next-gen compute. Ivan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Singapore Management University.
