Wheel Throwing Beginners 1.0 Tuesday Nights
Ready to learn to throw on the wheel and want to do it right? This is a fun and engaging experience where you'll learn all the steps to turn a piece of clay into a piece of finished pottery you love.

What you'll learn
In this class, you will learn the core fundamentals of throwing on the wheel, from clay preparation to centering on the wheel to creating your first ceramic pieces. We'll also go through the parts of a working pottery studio to help you find your way around in the future.
Next comes trimming, you will be guided through an entry into precision trimming techniques to give your piece a refined and aesthetically pleasing shape.
We'll then come back to sand our pieces with Lulu our studio Apprentice and then a special glaze class hosted by Karla Marie where she will guide you through her fool proof steps to get a stunning glaze finish choosing from an exciting range of premium and bespoke colours we will learn how to make our ceramics food safe and fit for use.
The final week's session will be an exciting show and tell where we'll share snacks and a bevvie and celebrate an exciting term of making as well as to give us an incredible opportunity for further learning and insight.
For Beginners wheel 1 term classes, clay, tools, glazes and firings are Included in the cost for students.

Tuition is non-transferable once the term has commenced.
Clay, tools and firing fees are included in classes unless otherwise stated.
Refund Policy
If you need to cancel your class for any reason please contact us asap so that we may attempt assist you in finding a replacement for your seat in the class. Whilst we will do our best to accomodate, we cannot guarantee refunds.
No refund will be given if your cancellation occurs within 1 week of the class starting date unless a suitable replacement can be found.
Non-attendance
If you are unable to make a class for personal reasons, bad weather, or illness, we do not offer refunds and cannot guarantee make-up classes. However there will be very limited options for makeup classes thorough the term at a cost of $60 per session.
Karla Marie Ceramics Limited reserves the right to cancel classes with insufficient enrolment. A full refund will be issued if this is the case.
Karla Marie Ceramics Limited reserves the right to change the tutor stated for the class at any given time, however we will endeavour to let students know ahead of time.
