About Event

Join us in commemorating the 35th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution—a peaceful movement that brought an end to communist rule in Czechoslovakia. Together, we'll reflect on the period before and after the Revolution, explore the journey to freedom and democracy, and discuss the current threats of autocracy and totalitarianism facing our nations.

We’re excited to host an engaging discussion with distinguished guests:

Veronika Tuckerová – Lecturer at Harvard University, Czech Studies

Norbert Kurilla – Sustainability Expert and former advisor to the President of Slovakia

Alexandra Alvarova – Author, lecturer and communication strategist

The evening will feature live music and songs from the Velvet Revolution era (Karel Kryl, Ivan Hoffman, Marta Kubišová). You are welcome to refresh yourself with Faces Brewing brews and food.
