Violin & Cello Concert

​Join us at The Lodge for an unforgettable evening of live music. There's nothing quite like the blended sound of string instruments. In this program, violinist Sam Weiser and cellist Evan Kahn bring a feast for the senses: four pieces that run the gamut of the emotional and audial experience, all lush, romantic, and exhilarating. Following the performance, we’re hosting a reception in the Café. 

​Sam Weiser, formerly a member of the award-winning Del Sol Quartet, has studied and performed chamber music with many of today’s greatest musicians and pedagogues. Sam is a graduate of Tufts University, the New England Conservatory, and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

California-based Evan Kahn has been praised as “a cellist deserved of serious listening” for bringing his “electrifying … nuanced and colorful” style to all of his collaborations, from concerti to chamber music to contemporary performances. Evan holds principal positions in four orchestras — New Century Chamber Orchestra, Symphony San Jose, Opera San Jose, and the San Jose Chamber Orchestra.
