Eaton Fire - Altadena Survivors Support Group

​The Deeper Than Color Disaster Response Support Group facilitators aim to provide a safe and supportive space for individuals affected by the fires in Altadena, California, to share their experiences, process their emotions, and receive peer support. This group is designed to help participants navigate the challenges posed by disaster-related stress and trauma (i.e., loss of home and property, grief, fear & uncertainty, feelings related to emergency response inequities, unfair media coverage, predatory real estate offers, and unethical/discriminatory insurance company interactions) while fostering a sense of community and understanding.
