AI Sentience and Marvin the Paranoid Android

​There has been interest both in the Community and in the wider press in the “Google Engineer sent home on leave after writing about AI Sentience” story. At the Embodiment Channel, we thought this would be a great opportunity to have a noodle, on Thursday 23rd at 18.00 UK time.

​I am really interested in discussing this liminal relationship space. Wherever on the spectrum you land on sentience (I know where I currently land), it is clear we are already in relation with these entities and increasingly when we look forward a few decades, as they become more sophisticated. As there will not be much time to prepare, we can work out an ‘on the fly’ facilitation depending how many people show up and if nobody does then I will spend an hour talking to my favourite chatbot!
