Volunteer: Slow/Shared stenciling

​We're bringing 'slow' stencils (on the ocean side lanes) and 'shared' stencils (on the city side lanes) to help people navigate the park at the appropriate speed and do so safely.

​We need help prepping (sand removal with sweeping and using a blower and traffic cone placement), placing the stencils, priming, letting the prime dry before finally painting. We'll have two teams of 4, working in tandem, in both lanes. You'll have a site leader help to make sure stencils are placed correctly before priming and painting are done.

​​​​​What to Bring and Wear:

• ​​​​​Water bottle. 

• ​​​​​All necessary tools (blowers, brooms, paint) etc. Bring your own gloves if you have a pair you like. 

• ​​​​​Wear comfortable work clothes, long pants, and sturdy shoes or boots (NO shorts, flip flops, heels, or sandals).

• ​​​​​Please be prepared to get dirty and dress in layers for various weather conditions.

• ​​​​​Bring a hat and wear sunscreen.

• ​​​​​Participants/guardians will be required to sign a waiver from Friends of Ocean Beach Park (online).
