Volunteer: Slow/Shared stenciling
We're bringing 'slow' stencils (on the ocean side lanes) and 'shared' stencils (on the city side lanes) to help people navigate the park at the appropriate speed and do so safely.
We need help prepping (sand removal with sweeping and using a blower and traffic cone placement), placing the stencils, priming, letting the prime dry before finally painting. We'll have two teams of 4, working in tandem, in both lanes. You'll have a site leader help to make sure stencils are placed correctly before priming and painting are done.
What to Bring and Wear:
Water bottle.
All necessary tools (blowers, brooms, paint) etc. Bring your own gloves if you have a pair you like.
Wear comfortable work clothes, long pants, and sturdy shoes or boots (NO shorts, flip flops, heels, or sandals).
Please be prepared to get dirty and dress in layers for various weather conditions.
Bring a hat and wear sunscreen.
Participants/guardians will be required to sign a waiver from Friends of Ocean Beach Park (online).
