​Join us for a dynamic conversation on careers in sustainability with Fahmida Bangert, a seasoned leader driving climate action across higher ed, tech, and health care. Now the Executive Director of Sustainability at Stanford Health Care, Fahmida leads major enterprise-wide sustainability initiatives—from energy and building design to clinical integration and staff engagement.

​Her previous roles include Head of ESG at Intuitive Surgical, where she built their sustainability strategy and compliance framework, and VP of Sustainability at ITRenew, a circularity company serving global data centers. She also spent 15 years in higher ed, founding Stanford’s Office of Sustainability and Sustainable Stanford program, reducing the university’s scope 1 and 2 emissions and fostering a "living lab" for student sustainability initiatives. 

​A trailblazer since her early days as UC Berkeley’s first sustainability specialist, Fahmida holds a B.A. in Economics from Smith College and a Master's in Environmental Science, Management, and Policy from UC Santa Barbara. She’s also a 2024 Top 100 CSO, 2022 WSLA awardee, a visiting lecturer at Stanford, and a compelling speaker you won’t want to miss
