Sponsored By: Research Lab for Advanced System Modelling

🪢 Thursday, June 19 🕕 6:30–8:30 PM

📍 TMU Ted Rogers School of Management

Toronto’s health innovation community is full of brilliance, but often siloed. It’s time to change that.

Join us for Building Bridges at TMU: a special evening bringing together innovators across AI, healthcare, informatics, engineering, and entrepreneurship to spark meaningful connections and a shared sense of purpose.

Whether you're a founder, researcher, builder, policymaker, engineer, medical professional or student, this is your moment to help shape what’s next in Toronto’s health ecosystem.

🤝 Why Attend?

  • Build community across silos — from MDs and MHIs to startup founders and healthcare engineers

  • Make 1:1 connections to discuss Our Why

  • Support the launch of Health Informatics programs and TMU's new School of Medicine

  • Engage with partners at DMZ, Vector, NEXT Canada, TechTO and more

  • Meet collaborators from EWB-Canada, BACH, Scalpels & Spreadsheets, TechTO Health and OntarioMD

  • Help shape AI + Healthcare as a new vertical at AI Collective Toronto

  • Connect with global initiatives like ACADIC, AI4PEP and AIMMLab

🎯 Who’s it for?

  • Students & alumni in Engineering, Health Informatics or Computer Science

  • Professionals in AI, Healthcare, Policy or Tech

  • Faculty and leaders bridging research and real-world impact

  • Anyone eager to collaborate across disciplines to improve health outcomes

Special spotlight on participants and future presenters of FHLIP 2026: From Silos to Synergy.

Let’s build bridges that last—and shape a health system that works for everyone.

Please be advised: Unfortunately, space is very limited at these community events and we can not always accept everyone we would like to. If you are not accepted to this event, please keep applying! We appreciate your application tremendously and we are looking forward to seeing you at a future event very soon!

Led by Dr. Aziz Guergachi, the Research Lab for Advanced System Modelling (ASM) at Toronto Metropolitan University explores the uncertainties and complexities that underlie natural, engineering and human systems across multiple economic sectors. In some of its recent research programs, the ASM Lab in collaboration with Canadian Health Informatician Karim Keshavjee has focused on the challenges that lie at the intersection of (1) human biology/ physiology, (2) digital systems and AI, and (3) human attitudes and behaviour, with the intention to drive innovation in healthcare and enterprise IT.

The AI Collective is a global non-profit community uniting 40,000+ pioneers – founders, researchers, operators, and investors – exploring the frontier of AI in major tech hubs worldwide. Through events, workshops, and community-led research, we empower the AI ecosystem to collaboratively steer AI’s future toward trust, openness, and human flourishing.

Roam is an AI-powered virtual HQ platform that unleashes ultraproductivity with a company visualization, presence, drop-in meetings, video meetings, group chats, scheduling, AI summaries, and AI agents.
