Freedom to Be: Community Quilt
PLEASE NOTE: This activity is only open to the NYU Community (active students, staff, and faculty). Use your nyu.edu email during registration. Thank you!
Join us in contributing to the ACLU’s Freedom to Be campaign by helping create a quilt to support transgender rights. Participants can decorate a panel reflecting “What does the freedom to be me look like?” This collaborative art installation—crafted by trans people, their families, and allies—will be displayed on the National Mall next year.
This activity will come and go as you please, with a station in the NYU Makerspace from April 7th through the 9th, 12-4pm. For more information about the ACLU's initiative, go here.
This activity will take place in-person at the NYU MakerSpace. Looking forward to seeing you here!
