Chong Jiayi (dConstruct Robotics’, CTO) will showcase advancements in 3D Gaussian Splatting for large-scale, real-time 3D reconstruction. Built on the company’s strengths in reality capture and robot automation, the session will cover use cases like digital twins and autonomous inspection at train depots and construction sites, highlighting practical impact across robotics and spatial computing. More About the Speakers
Jiayi obtained Bachelors and Masters in Computer Science with specialisation in graphics and systems, from Stanford University. After graduation, he worked for over 13 years in the Bay Area in the fields of Graphics, Simulation and Machine Learning. Jiayi was Pixar’s R&D Technical Director for 10 years, leading his team to develop the core Graphics Simulation Stack used on multiple Academy Award-Winning films, including WALL-E, Toy Story 3, Up, and more. He has given multiple Technical Talks at SIGGRAPH on his work and currently holds 4 US Patents.
Jia Qi is a research engineer at Menlo Research. He is working on implementing the latest speech and audio AI across Menlo Research's wide range products. He also hopes to contribute to the open source and research communities by designing new AI models.
