BARDA Vaccine Innovation Forum
The Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) is leveraging prize competitions to advance vaccine innovation and protect Americans from public health security threats. At this event, you’ll meet the Concept Stage winners of the $50 million Patch Forward Prize and learn about an upcoming prize competition focused on vaccine dose reduction technologies.
Launched in 2024, the Patch Forward Prize is a Project NextGen competition to advance microneedle patch-based RNA vaccines for COVID-19, seasonal influenza, and pandemic influenza. The Concept Stage winners will present their winning proposals during the event.
We’ll hear more about what’s next for the Patch Forward Prize and learn about BARDA’s next vaccine innovation prize, launching later in 2025. Focused on advancing dose reduction technologies for pandemic influenza vaccines, this $41 million prize promises to advance the horizons of vaccine innovation.
Leaders from BARDA will highlight emerging opportunities in vaccine innovation, discussing advances in delivery technologies and next-generation administration methods.
Join us to explore these investment opportunities and become part of the critical partnerships needed to bring these breakthrough technologies to market — strengthening our ability to respond rapidly to future pandemic threats.
