Machine Cinema “GenTalks” August 20th

​Hey everyone,

​This Wednesday 10-11:15am PT / 1-2:15 pm ET is our weekly digital get together to connect on how we are all making our way through this new era for creative industries and AI among other emergent technologies, sharing ideas, tips, knowledge amongst ourselves. 

​Our group is an amazing mix of creators/producers/builders/some new to this stuff/ some OG/ all of us constantly learning.

​You can join however you want - camera on, camera off. It's ok if you just want to listen, but it's more fun if you participate. We usually meet every two weeks.

​Vanessa Rosa

​

​Vanessa Rosa is a US based Brazilian visual artist. Her work merges physical and digital media into a storytelling continuum. Murals become portals to an imaginary world with projection mapping, ceramics metamorphose into living entities with the aid of AI models. She creates fictional tales about world history, past and possible futures intertwined.

​She will present Little Martians: AI world creation based on ceramic sculptures using eden.art

​I’m an award-winning immersive creator. My breakthrough debut VR experience “Body of Mine” was the recipient of the Producers Guild Innovation Award, and won prizes at SXSW, BAFTA, Games for Change and more. I am the Founder & CEO of Kost, a storytelling collective aimed at helping us better understand ourselves, the world around us, and our fellow human beings. 

​I have a BFA in Film & TV Production from USC's School of Cinematic Arts and an MA from ASU’s Narrative & Emerging Media Program under the mentorship of Nonny de la Peña.
