James Jones, Jr.
James Jones Jr. is the Co-Founder and CEO of Bump, a wealth-building banking platform for creators. His career highlights include professional experience as Co-Founder and CEO at Bump since December 2021, Co-Founder of a legal tech marketplace (acquired), and Managing Partner at a law firm in Miami, where he represented artists, influencers, and record labels.
He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, an undergraduate degree in communications from Winston-Salem State University, and an Executive MBA, Scaling Ventures Certification from Harvard Business School.
His achievements include being named 2019 Tech Entrepreneur of The Year by Black Enterprise Magazine, co-founding a legal tech marketplace, which was sold for $23 million in under 5 years, and receiving several awards, including a Webby Award in Law (2018) and the ABA's Brown SELECT Award for Legal Access (2017). He has been featured in Forbes, Fortune, Essence, Black Enterprise, TechCrunch, and the Miami Herald. James brings a unique blend of legal expertise and entrepreneurial experience to his role at Bump, which is backed by notable investors and aims to become the leading financial platform for creators.
Hauwa Otori
Hauwa Otori is a Los Angeles-based writer, radio journalist, and independent producer. Her work has appeared in Elle Magazine and Forbes and can be heard on Los Angeles’ NPR member station KCRW as well as American Public Media’s Marketplace.
She is the Founder & President of the Founders International Network, an organization that produces a business podcast that uses storytelling to breathe life into the ingenuity, expertise, and hustle of under-resourced entrepreneurs from around the globe who are building successful businesses across many industries.
Hauwa is excited to continue growing this organization, telling more stories, and building community across the globe. She is an attorney, published author, and tech industry professional for over a decade.
