About Event

Eternal Happiness is thrilled to present Authors' Night - an evening of stories, inspiration, and conversation. This event is a celebration of storytelling, creativity, and the voices behind the books.

​Join us for an inspiring evening as we meet talented local authors, explore the journeys behind their work, and dive into the stories that connect us all.

​A must-attend event for book lovers, curious readers and aspiring writers alike!

​This will be followed by 'Multilingual Open Mic'.

Agenda:

​​6:00pm - 6:15pm: Grab a snack/drink and your seat

​​6:15pm - 6:30pm: Land Acknowledgement, Intros of the Co-Founders and Directors.

About the event: Author's name will be picked in a random chit system for presenting their book. Every Author will get 15 min to talk about their book.

Meet 3 Featured Local Authors -

Shreya Mishra Reddy:

Shreya Mishra Reddy is a multifaceted writer, technologist, and advocate for emotional well-being. She is the author of Soft Truths: Discovering Life One Poem at a Time, a collection of poems that delve into personal experiences and universal truths. Each poem in the book stems from phases or incidents in her life that were challenging to comprehend, process, or articulate, aiming to provide comfort and clarity to readers. Professionally, Shreya serves as a Technical Program Manager at Visa. She holds degrees from BITS Pilani and Duke University and is currently an executive program candidate at Harvard Business School. Her diverse background informs her writing, which often explores themes of identity, resilience, and the immigrant experience. Beyond her literary and professional pursuits, Shreya is the founder of Project VASUKAM, an initiative focused on uplifting international students in the U.S. She actively shares her work and reflections on LinkedIn where she engages with a community interested in poetry and personal growth. Through her writing and professional endeavors, Shreya Mishra Reddy continues to inspire others to find strength and clarity in their own journeys.

Paul Edward Costa:

Paul Edward Costa is a poet, spoken word artist, organizer, and teacher. He directs the Outer Haven Poetry Night series, is a full member of the League of Canadian Poets, and a former Poet Laureate for the City of Mississauga. He won the Mississauga Arts Council’s Emerging Literary Arts Award in 2019 and has published in many journals such as Train: A Poetry Journal, Purely Liminal Magazine, Locust Shells Journal, and Blank Spaces Magazine. He has recently published “Vigils of the Night Office” (DarkWinter Press) and “Some Half-Human Creature Thing” (Mosaic Press). As a spoken word artist, Paul has featured at many poetry reading events such as Art Bar, the Poetry Open Mic at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, Shab-e She’r, the Oakville Literary Cafe, Laureate City by VerseFest, and the Victoria Poetry Project. His work has been displayed as part of the Poetry Lane public works project on the Burnhamthorpe Trail in Mississauga and in the Arts Etobicoke Gallery “Power of Words Exhibit” (2025). 

Abhijit AA:

Abhijit a.k.a. Eternal Happiness™ is a documentary photojournalist, a short video maker-editor and a self-published author of the first multimedia book on the little-known Indigenous Toto tribe of India, a work of almost 8 years.

He has been a photojournalist for The Globe and Mail in TorontoThe Times Of India, The Indian Express in Mumbai and Utrop in Oslo.

Abhijit also visually documents the works and projects of various humanitarian organizations and NGOs on their project sites and creates human interest visual stories on various topics.

He has worked in Cuba, Canada, Norway, Greece, parts of the EU & India in complex environments.

Abhijit is trilingual and knows four other languages (including American Sign Language) in between 20 and 70%. He is a survivor of racism, extreme discrimination and is a double immigrant, from India (SE Asia) to Norway (EU) to Canada (Americas).

He's currently working on 'Divination Experience' a spiritual cleaning ritual by Babalawo, the highest priest of Santería (Yoruba religion) in Guanabacoa (Cuba).
