About Sonny: Mayugba Sonny joins us from WAITR where he was a co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer. He was on the team that took the company from napkin to Nasdaq and enjoyed the rare event of getting to ring the bell in New York to open the markets. In his executive role at the highly successful mobile on-demand restaurant ordering and delivery company, Sonny was instrumental in positioning Waitr for the national stage, and co-led integration efforts surrounding Waitr’s acquisition of Bite Squad, a Minneapolis-based online restaurant food delivery service. Stewarding user acquisition, activation, retention, and revenue growth, Sonny has helped Waitr grow to serve 700 cities in 22 states across the U.S. and drove revenue from early-stage to an annual nine-figure net revenue.
