About Event

Join us for Thundermist’s Trans Health Provider Talks, a three-part community education series for trans and non-binary individuals to hear directly from local gender-affirming healthcare providers!

Our second talk is with Dr. Daniel Kwan, MD, a plastic surgeon who is the division chief of reconstructive surgery for the Lifespan Physician Group. Dr. Kwan performs top surgery, bottom surgery, facial surgery, among other procedures.  

This talk is an opportunity to learn from Dr. Kwan as he describes his work with gender-affirming surgeries for trans and non-binary people. Participants will also be able to ask questions.

  • You do not need to be a patient of Thundermist Health Center to attend. 

  • This event will occur on Zoom, but you do NOT need to turn on your webcam or microphone to participate.

Daniel Kwan, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained plastic surgeon and a clinical assistant professor at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, as well as a faculty member for the residency program in plastic and reconstructive surgery. He is division chief of reconstructive surgery for the Lifespan Physician Group. 

Dr. Kwan received his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed general surgery and plastic surgery residencies at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Dr. Kwan gained further expertise through a fellowship in reconstructive microsurgery at the medical center. 

He is a member of the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Plastic Surgery Research Council, among other professional organizations.
