Ask Me Anything is an initiative, every Sunday in March, aimed at providing aspiring creative professionals and interested individuals with key insights from leaders in various fields through meaningful one-on-one conversation on the stoep of 120 Bree Street.
Participants will be able to RSVP a 10-minute timeslot to sit down with the full attention of an established industry professional on Duck Duck Goose’s bench. Our guest for the first edition of the Ask Me Anything initiative is Lukhanyo Mdingi.
As a central meeting point for creatives in Cape Town, Duck Duck Goose is committed to cultivating and fostering an integrated community amongst those interested in fashion, design, music and other associated fields. In the context of what many call a “gatekept” industry, the motivation for the Ask Me Anything initiative is to provide aspiring creative professionals with the opportunity to draw on the experience and knowledge of a respected and established industry professional.
The Ask Me Anything consultations will begin at 11:00 and finish at 14:00 on Sunday, 23 February. Participants need to book a 10-minute slot in order to engage with the special guest. Participants will also have the opportunity to connect with one another on either side of their 10-minute consultation. Furniture will be provided by FEDE Arthouse alongside public infrastructure by The MAAK and Picnic to enable comfortable conversation on the sidewalk of 120 Bree Street between those who have come to the store for the same purpose.
Ask Me Anything forms part of Sunday Street Experiment on Bree Street, initiated by Urban Mobility, the Mayor's Office at the City of Cape Town, Young Urbanists South Africa, and Street Experiments Afrika.
