Mindset Teach-in: Leadership & Wellness Insights from Site Leaders of Color provides an opportunity for education professionals of color to (re)connect with the revolutionary spirit inherent in the act of teaching and learning within themselves and discover meaningful ways to spark it within their staff and young people.
Key outcomes of this teach-in include:
Learning from leaders of color who are grappling with challenging problems of practice that impact learning environments that are a majority young people of color
Recognizing the influence of adult behaviors and mindsets on the dynamics of the learning environment
Developing awareness of practices that promote connectedness and trust in the learning environment

What is a teach-in?
Teach-ins were popularized during the U.S. government's involvement in Vietnam. While essentially, they are lectures shared by experts, teach-ins are meant to be practical, participatory, and oriented toward action. Discussion and questions from the audience are welcome.
