Prof. Bill Aulet is changing the way entrepreneurship is understood, taught and practiced around the world. Bill, who has degrees from Harvard and MIT, has over 25 years of business success first at IBM and then as a three time entrepreneur. He has directly created hundreds of millions of dollars in shareholder value through his companies. During the past seven years he has been responsible for leading the development of entrepreneurship education across MIT, where he has been recognized with numerous awards. His book, Disciplined Entrepreneurship, which was released in August 2013, has become an award winning international best seller due to its accessible and methodical approach to entrepreneurship. In April 2017, the companion book, the Disciplined Entrepreneurship Workbook, was released. Bill writes and speaks logically on how entrepreneurs are created and the importance of both education and ecosystems. He has been widely published in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch, the Boston Globe, the Kauffman Foundation, the Huffington Post and more. Rhie Lim is a former CNBC reporter turned entrepreneur and tech investor. After launching MIT global entrepreneurship bootcamps with Prof. Bill Aulet, she decided to adopt the 24 Steps of Disciplined Entrepreneurship to her own venture journey and built an MIT biotech startup from the ground-up into a sustainable and profitable startup. As a co-founder of LifeCanvas Technologies, a company transforming the field of bioimaging, Rhie built a cross-functional team spanning Science, AI/ML, Finance, Sales, Marketing and HR and raised over $17M from angel investors, VCs and NIH. Rhie also brought MIT’s very first global entrepreneurship bootcamp to Seoul, South Korea that culminated into 1,200 alumni and 100+ ventures, which raised a total $70M+. Prior to this, she was a financial news reporter for CNBC Asia covering South Korean blue chip stocks such as Samsung Electronics and clinched exclusive interviews with opinion leaders like Warren Buffett, Christine Lagarde and Mark Mobius. Rhie is passionate about helping entrepreneurs build products and solutions that have a lasting impact. She currently serves as a Judge at MassChallenge and a mentor at StartMIT. She holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of management.
