Get ready to explore the breathtaking beauty of the Chiltern Hills! This adventure will take you through rolling hills, peaceful woodlands, and past historic landmarks, offering stunning views, fresh air, and plenty of good vibes. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just looking for a refreshing day out, this is the perfect way to connect with nature and meet like-minded adventurers.
The Details:
Primary Route: Coombe Hill and Chequers Court Circular
Date: Saturday, 19th April
Meeting Time: 10:15 AM
Start Time: 10:30 AM
Meeting Location: Wendover Station
Distance: 12.7km (approx. 4 hours)
Elevation Gain: 432m
This route features some steep inclines and, if it’s been raining, can get a little muddy—so sturdy footwear is a must! But don’t worry, the effort is worth it for the incredible views and sense of accomplishment.
Bad Weather Alternative Route: Wendover, Coombe Hill, and Linton's Wood Circular
If the weather isn’t on our side, we’ll switch to this shorter but equally scenic route:
Distance: 5.5km (approx. 3 hours)
Elevation Gain: 839ft
This alternative still delivers stunning views and a chance to explore the charming woodlands, ensuring the adventure continues rain or shine!
What to Expect:
Jaw-dropping views from Coombe Hill, the highest point in the Chilterns.
A peaceful stroll through lush woodlands and open countryside.
A glimpse of Chequers Court, the Prime Minister’s country residence.
A friendly, welcoming group of fellow adventurers.
HOW TO GET THERE
By Public Transport:
Train: Take a train from London Marylebone to Wendover Station on the Chiltern Railways line. (Roughly 45 minutes from Central London)
By Car:
Parking: There is parking available at Wendover Woods Car Park. (There is a small charger to use.) Use postcode HP22 5NQ for navigation.
WHAT TO BRING AND WEAR
Daypack or small rucksack
Reusable water bottle
Snacks or a sandwich
Warm layers: beanie, gloves, scarf, raincoat, and waterproof shoes
Optional: Camera or binoculars for wildlife
HOW TO BOOK
Tickets are £10 per person.
Your ticket includes:
A guided group hike led by one of our amazing MLA hosts, Cláudia! The hike will last between 2 to 4 hours, with the possibility of a slightly longer duration if we make any impromptu scenic stops along the way.
When booking, please provide a mobile number with WhatsApp access. Once booked, you'll receive a ticket and be added to our WhatsApp group, where event details will be shared.

Yes! We will switch to the shorter alternative route to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety.
