TataSteel: site visit
This includes a pickup by bus from Beverwijk NS station at 12:45, lunch with an introduction to Clean Green Circular Steel in relation to AI, an on-site visit to a production plant (to feel the heat) with English-speaking guides, and finish with a drink before a bus will take students back to Beverwijk NS station.
Rules:
Safety and security take the highest priority at Tata Steel in IJmuiden. Therefore, all visitors must be in possession of a valid identification card during their visit. People under 16 do not have access to our site.
Tata Steel in IJmuiden also observes strict clothing regulations to ensure your safety. In the plants, each visitor must wear closed shoes and long trousers along with the personal protective equipment (such as a helmet) provided by the guide(s).
If you are pregnant, have a pacemaker or a fear of heights; please inform your guide in advance.
This high priority for safety also means that the plants are not always accessible for disabled people. If you have any doubts, please contact IJmuiden Visits before your visit.
