Clara is part of the investment team at Balderton Capital, where she invests in early-stage start-ups. Prominent members of Balderton’s portfolio include Revolut, Citymapper, and Lifesum.
During the event, Clara will share her insights into the VC industry, outline what makes a successful start-up and advice on how to pitch one’s idea effectively. Clara joined Balderton’s investment team in 2020. She spent the previous two years working as a consultant for Finalta, the McKinsey & Company benchmarking solution for banks and insurance companies. During her time there, she was involved in the judging workstream of the McKinsey Venture Academy, a social venture competition.
Clara holds a BSc in Management Science from UCL, where she minored in Machine Learning and Robotics. After graduating, Clara joined IHS Markit, where she was active in sales and product development, focusing on growing regulatory compliance solutions in financial services.
