About Event

Creating a way for our machines to remember us is the first and most critical step to a fully personalized future.

Memory allows you to create apps that remember what you did last week. That keep track of your progress towards a goal over time. That discern traits about you.

There has been some academic work in this space (Generative Agents, MemGPT), but not a lot of progress in industry. We want to change that!

Join us in tackling this challenge at the first-ever Memory Hackathon. We’ll have some of the greatest LLM & agent hackers in the same room, and we can’t wait to see what you come up with.

There will be two tracks at this hackathon:

  • Memory methods: best new memory method

  • Memory apps: best new app that uses memory in a critical way

The hackathon will kick off with talks from the following leaders in the AI & memory space:

  • Sam Whitmore (CEO, New Computer)

  • Harrison Chase (CEO, LangChain)

  • Prakul Agarwal (Senior Product Manager, MongoDB)

  • Alex Albert (Dev Rel Lead, Anthropic)

About the hosts:

LangChain is building developer tools (LangChain, LangSmith) to make it as easy as possible to build context aware reasoning applications.

New Computer is building Dot, an intelligent guide, which uses a novel long-term memory system to enable deep personalization.

MongoDB Atlas Vector Search is the latest addition to the MongoDB developer data platform. It enables customers to build intelligent applications powered by semantic search and generative AI over any type of data.

Anthropic: Anthropic is a research company that builds reliable, interpretable and steerable AI systems. Its state-of-the-art Claude 3 model family sets new industry benchmarks, and enables users to select the optimal balance of intelligence, speed, and cost for their specific application.
