Huri Te Ao - Forefronting Indigenous Knowledge and Regenerative Practices
Launched in year one of the Covid 19 Pandemic with 110 undergraduate and 14 post-graduate students, this past two years has seen Huri Te Ao build our indigenising curriculum ‘on the fly’ and without much opportunity for a wider kōrero (discussion). In this time we have developed a kaupapa (agenda) centered on mauri-ora (holistic social, cultural, ecological wellbeing) and actioned through mahitahitanga (collaborative, co-creative and participatory processes).
This event will be facilitated by Amanda Yates (Ngāti Rangiwewehi, Ngāti Whakaue, Te Aitanga a Māhaki, Rongowhakaata) and Kathy Waghorn (Pākehā).
