About Event

The Collective for Education AI community is excited to host a pilot series of one-hour online training sessions exploring foundational AI topics. These talks will cover historical developments, current issues, and emerging concerns surrounding generative AI (GenAI) in education.

This event is designed to introduce foundational concepts of GenAI and explore their impact on educational processes. This one-hour online event will cover key themes, including understanding GenAI, its limitations, and case studies of AI in education.

🎓 Speaker: Dr. Firat Batmaz, the AI in Education Group Leader from the Department of Computer Science at Loughborough University, will deliver an informative and comprehensive presentation on Generative AI in Education. This session builds on the Assurance of AI in Education event held at Loughborough University earlier this year.

💬 Interactive Q&A: The presentation will be followed by an interactive Q&A, providing an opportunity for participants to learn more about GenAI in education and grow their knowledge in this fast-moving area of AI literacy and skills.
