Oracles: From Data to DeFi
Oracles are the bridge between the blockchain and the real world, enabling smart contracts to interact with external data sources. Yet despite their critical importance, oracles are often under-discussed. This event aims to demystify their functionality, applications, and future potential.
In usual CML style, expect a dynamic evening filled with engaging discussions, thought-provoking insights, and valuable networking with a community of like-minded peers!
Whether you're a blockchain veteran, a crypto enthusiast, or simply curious about how these "secret keepers" of the blockchain work, we've got a seat with your name on it.

After working for 10 years in 10 different companies in the traditional corporate world - in structures, environments and with people that did not serve her, Renee built the grit, resilience and desire to shake up the 9-5 world. At the age of 27, Renee Francis founded The Bubble Co, now a multi-million-dollar web2 digital marketing agency with a fully flexible and remote environment, and is also the founder and director of Take3, an agency dedicated to web3 growth for businesses and brands working with brands like Coinbase and Archax. Renee is a seasoned web3 investor and native in all things blockchain, NFTs, and crypto. With over a decade of web2 marketing experience and recent years spent absorbing life in web3 - Renee’s mission is simple: to empower others to join her in shaping the future of the decentralised web.
Dave is one of API3’s original members, focused on BD, and has been working in the oracle space since 2018. API3 is a DAO governed oracle project that provides decentralised pricing data that has secured over a billion dollars of value since the data feeds launched in 2023. Dapps using API3 are able to recapture value that their users would otherwise have lost to block producers through OEV, providing an extra, sustainable, source of income.
