Machine Consciousness Salon: Reflections on Humanity in an AI world w/ Sir Grayson Perry
What can we learn about being human from current AI development? How is humanity changing at the contact of AI? What will it mean and look like to be human in a society where AI is pervasive?
It's our pleasure to invite you to join us for a special edition of our Machine Consciousness salons, where Joscha Bach will be in conversation with Sir Grayson Perry to conclude his social exploration of the Silicon Valley AI ecosystem.
Sir Grayson Perry is a well-known British contemporary artists and documentarian. He’s in SF to make a new series about Silicon Valley: As an “amateur anthropologist” he has been immersing himself for the past 3 weeks in local tech culture, focusing particularly on AI, trying to understand the potential futures it is opening up for us all.
Tonight Joscha Bach, the CIMC, and hopefully you -- will discuss with him and chime in on what he has learnt. Not just about AI, but about what AI can teach us about what it is to be human.
Attendance is free; we appreciate if you bring non-alcoholic drinks and some snacks.
