SPEAKERS
Eddie Fishman
Eddie Fishman is the author of the New York Times instant best-seller, Chokepoints: American Power in the Age of Economic Warfare (Portfolio, February 2025).
An expert on tariffs and sanctions, Eddie is a Senior Research Scholar and Adjunct Professor of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. He previously served at the U.S. Department of State as a member of the Secretary’s Policy Planning Staff and as the Russia and Europe Lead in the Office of Economic Sanctions Policy and Implementation.
He has also served at the Pentagon as special assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, at the Treasury Department as special assistant to the Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, and at technology companies in the autonomous vehicle and cybersecurity industries.
He holds a B.A. in History from Yale University, an M.Phil. in International Relations from the University of Cambridge; and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.
Gina O'Connor
Gina O'Connor is a Professor of Innovation Management at Babson College. She was previously Director of the MBA program, Director of the Severino Center for Technological Entrepreneurship, and Director of the Radical Innovation Research Program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
She has co-authored three books on breakthrough innovation: Beyond the Champion: Institutionalizing Innovation Through People, Grabbing Lightning: Building a Capability for Breakthrough Innovation, and Radical Innovation, How Mature Firms Can Outsmart Upstarts.
Her professional objective is to help large established companies learn how to renew themselves through breakthrough, strategic innovation.
