The Grove Book Club: The Serviceberry

​Join us for the very first Grove Book Club meetup! We’ll be reading and discussing The Serviceberry by Robin Wall Kimmerer — a beautifully thoughtful book on gift economies, reciprocity, and the relationship between people and the natural world. This piece is the inspiration behind Gifting Grove and the foundation for our gatherings.

​This event is free and open to all — whether you’ve read the piece fully or just want to connect and create in community.

​What to expect:
📖 A guided group discussion of The Serviceberry and its themes
🎨 Creative reflection through poetry or painting using espresso waste pigment from Curioso
📚 A community book exchange — bring a book to pass on, and take a new one home! Extra books will be donated to Curioso’s book library
☕ The first hour is for grabbing coffee, connecting, and creating; the second hour is for sharing your art and diving into the book discussion
