About Our Sponsors:

Cheng Yu Tung East Asian Library: The Cheng Yu Tung East Asian Library is proud to be the intellectual and cultural centre of the academic community for East Asian and Asian Canadian-related studies and programs at the University of Toronto. Working with our collections and communities, our librarians and library staff continue to work to support research, teaching, and learning at the university and beyond. The library’s story begins with a collection of rare materials acquired from China in the 1930s, now known as the Mu Collection (慕氏藏書). Since then, the East Asian Library has grown to become home to some 700,000 volumes of materials in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Tibetan, with additional limited resources in Mongolian, Manchu, and Uighur. It is a major research collection on East Asian Studies in North America. In fulfilling its role as a leading East Asian resource centre in the nation, the library is deeply indebted to its many supporters and donors. On July 11, 1991, the library was named the Cheng Yu Tung East Asian Library (鄭裕彤東亞圖書館) to recognize the especially significant contribution and dedicated support of Dr. Cheng for the improvement and expansion of the library.

Multi-Faith Centre for Spiritual Study Practice: Our mission at the University of Toronto is to enrich the university experience for students by fostering an environment of learning, growth, connection, communities, and support. We envision a future where every student finds a sense of belonging, realizes their potential, and flourishes during their time at the University and beyond. Our work and interactions are grounded in core values that act as guiding principles for decision-making, planning, assessment, and accountability, ensuring we work effectively with students, partners, and each other. These values include Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Access, and Belonging, where we address both attitudinal and systemic barriers through anti-oppression and anti-racism frameworks, and emphasize inclusive design, intersectionality, and interculturality to enhance understanding and belonging. We incorporate Indigenous Knowledge, Truth, and Reconciliation by integrating Indigenous knowledges and approaches, centering Indigenous voices and anti-colonial frameworks. Health and Well-being are at the forefront of our approach, ensuring we consider the whole individual and promote culturally responsive care. We prioritize Relationship and Community to foster a vibrant campus atmosphere of empathy, respect, and compassion. Life-long, Life-wide Learning and Growth are key, as we support students' holistic development across personal, academic, and career aspirations, instilling a passion for continuous learning.
