What is the process for getting your book crowdfunded? What are the pitfalls and/or advantages of using a platform like Kickstarter?

Sophia Hembeck, writer and editor of The Muse Letter crowdfunded her first book Things I Have Noticed back in 2020 and sold 1000 copies.

She's now crowdfunding her second book, Things I Have Loved, a collection of essays which explore themes of love, longing, and self-worth and has raised just under £5k, exceeding her goal.

Join us for a chat with Sophia as we discuss the fundamentals of crowdfunding and using Kickstarter, how she uses her newsletter to build an audience and why she has decided to self-publish her books.

**Held immediately following our Writers’ Hour ET session, in the same room.**
