​EarthRanger for Administrators offers a very fast paced introduction to the EarthRanger Administration system and is divided in 2 separate sessions. This program is intended for advanced EarthRanger users comfortable with computer configuration and authorized to make changes on an EarthRanger system.

​Administrator Training Cluster 1 (see the calendar for the next session) covers how to manage users and permissions, provides an overview of Event configuration and data models, and introduces device and subject administration.

​Administrator Training Cluster 2 (this session) includes mapping functionalities, use of analyzers for data analysis, and the configuration of alerts and notifications.

​Administrators Training Cluster 2 - Topics

​Topic 1: Mapping

• ​Learn techniques for map features configuration, and customization - crucial for enhancing spatial data presentation and visualization.

• ​Features represent key areas or points of interest using icons on the map.

• ​Learn how to efficiently organize features for easier system interpretation.

​Topic 2: Analyzers

• ​This segment provides skills to understand, implement, and apply geofence analyzers used in monitoring and assessing movement and behavioral patterns of tracked subjects.

• ​Geofence Analyzers trigger alerts when tracked subjects enter or exit predefined geographic areas.

• ​Learn how to configure geofence analyzers and interpret generated events.

• ​Administrators can add and manage geofence analyzers by selecting subject groups and spatial features.

• ​Learn best practices include using multi-line strings for geofences and deactivating unused analyzers.

​Topic 3: Alerts and Notifications

• ​Learn how to configure and schedule alert notifications.

• ​Alerts are user-configured event notifications triggered by specific conditions.

• ​Notification methods include SMS, Email, and WhatsApp, with WhatsApp preferred.

• ​Alerts have daily limits of 20 per EarthRanger user.
