What is the workshop about?
Against the backdrop of the pandemic, many charities have moved essential services online at an accelerated pace. But with digital exclusion affecting millions of people across the UK, how can charities ensure that they fully embed - and advocate for - digital inclusion at all levels?
This 90-minute workshop will explore the nature of the UK digital divide and the barriers that stop people engaging with digital - as well as proposing practical ways to embed digital inclusion in your charity’s mission, and offering ideas for raising awareness through advocacy and campaigns.
Who is delivering it?
The workshop is being delivered by Good Things Foundation, a social change charity that helps people to improve their lives through digital. It will draw on the charity’s experience in designing and delivering digital social change programmes, and the Foundation's leading role in campaigning to #FixTheDigitalDivide and distributing devices and data to adults in need across the UK through its Everyone Connected programme.
