DOH Food Protection Certification for Emergency Food Workers
This IN-PERSON class meets the food protection requirement for soup kitchen workers in New York City. Food Pantry workers may also attend.
Attendees will be required to submit a copy of their government ID in order to receive the certification card, as per NYC Department of Health guidelines.
You are required to arrive on time for this workshop. Attendance will be monitored, and full participation is mandatory for certification.
Due to high demand, each Emergency Food Provider (EFP) is currently limited to 2 representatives. You may request to place additional staff or volunteers on the waitlist.
Note: You are welcome to bring your own lunch to this workshop. We will have some light refreshments available.
This workshop is intended only for staff or volunteers at emergency food programs funded by United Way of New York City, or members of the Policy Committee on Hunger Resources.
