UNBOUNDED: BTI Commemorates Emancipation Day
Experience the transformative power of UNBOUNDED, an immersive event platform dedicated to commemorating Emancipation Day in Canada.
Hosted by the Black Talent Initiative (BTI), UNBOUNDED is a platform rooted in education, dialogue, cultural expression, and empowerment on the journey toward liberation and equity for the Black community. It embodies the spirit of resilience, determination, and hope for a future where Black individuals are truly liberated, empowered, and able to reach their full potential without constraints. UNBOUNDED provides a space for meaningful conversations, reflections, and actions.
In 2021, the House of Commons officially designated August 1st as Emancipation Day, marking the abolition of the Slavery Act. This year, BTI will commemorate Emancipation Day on August 7th at George Brown College's Waterfront Campus.
Join us in person for an afternoon of inspiring speakers, thoughtful discussions, and networking opportunities. The event will feature a keynote, panel, and performances, along with networking and refreshments throughout the afternoon.
Stay tuned for speaker announcements and more details about each session!
