About Event

This is an intimate roundtable discussion on how to start, build, and grow an immigration and mobility program with leaders from some of Utah's largest programs like Zions Bank, Vivint, and Confluent.

Jeff Joseph: He is a partner with Berry, Appleman, & Leiden (BAL) where he manages the Denver office.  Jeff has over 25 years of experience in all facets of immigration.  He specializes in H2B seasonal visas, federal litigation of immigration matters, high-net worth individuals, complex immigration cases, and management of large immigration programs. 

Jeff currently serves as the Second Vice President on the Executive Committee of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.  He is a past Chapter Chair of the Colorado Chapter of AILA and served for 6 years as director on the AILA National Board of Governors.  He also served as Vice Chair of the Immigration Law Section of the Federal Bar Association and President of the Colorado Chapter of the FBA.  In 2004, he received the Joseph Minsky Young Lawyer Award from AILA.  In 2022 he was ranked in the top 2 immigration attorneys in Colorado and the top 38 immigration attorneys in the United States by Chambers and Partners.  From 2009-2022, he was selected for inclusion into the Best Lawyers in America.  In 2015 and 2021, Best Lawyers named Mr. Joseph as the Best Immigration Lawyer in Denver.  In 2006 through 2022, Mr. Joseph was named a Colorado Superlawyer by Colorado Superlawyer Magazine.  In 2022 and 2023, he was also selected for inclusion in the LawDragon 500 Leading Corporate Employment Lawyers.  In 2022, he was also named a Trailblazer by American Lawyer Magazine for the Western region.  In 2021 and 2022, Mr. Joseph was selected as one of the top 100 lawyers in the State of Colorado across all practice areas by Superlawyer.  5280 Magazine also named Mr. Joseph a “Top Lawyer” for 2006 through 2023.  Mr. Joseph is an adjunct professor of immigration law at the University of Denver College of Law.  He is bilingual in Spanish.

Stephen Allred: He is an HR professional who led Zions Bancorporation's business immigration program from 2016 until September 2022. He continues to serve as an ad-hoc immigration consultant for Zions after having moved into an HR analytics and compliance role. Stephen completed a masters degree in human resources at Utah State University. He is known for providing personalized, concierge-like support to clients. He is experienced in streamlining business and administrative processes while maintaining quality outcomes. Stephen enjoys mountain biking, long distance running, playing the piano, Chess, and coaching his children's basketball teams.

Whitney Morris: She currently manage Global Mobility at Vivint. She has 7+ years of experience in business immigration across a variety of visas. She has worked with companies to build better & stronger immigration programs. She likes to travel, read, binge watch tv, play board games, go to concerts, hike, and take naps.

Tom Lebaron: He has spent the last 12 years working in corporate mobility programs. This includes companies in the oil and gas industry, digital marketing & advertising, finance, medical and high growth tech. He joined his current company, Confluent, during their early stages and has managed their immigration & mobility programs during their pre and post IPO growth. He is well versed in US employer sponsored visas as well as international expansion, having  worked on immigration cases across the globe. He views partnership, empathy and problem solving skills as his greatest professional skills and calls upon these often in his role. Tom enjoys spending time with his family including traveling and being outdoors with them. He loves to cook and can usually be found in front of the grill, smoker or pizza oven.

Matt Gale: He is the director of operations for TrueVisa and oversaw both the product validation and MVP build. Prior to Truevisa, Matthew was the EVP of Consumer Products at SimpleCitizen. His background equips him with the knowledge and experience to confidently own the creation of highly usable, impactful products to make the immigration process easier. Matthew graduated from the Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge.
