Dr. Eka Nugraha Putra is a legal expert specializing in human rights, free speech, media law, and digital regulation. As a Research Fellow at NUS’s Centre for Trusted Internet and Community, he explores how policies shape the flow of digital information.
Jasmine Ng is an Executive Director of the Singapore Association of Motion Picture Professionals (SAMPP), dedicated to addressing key issues in the media production industry. SAMPP collaborates with peer associations and government partners like IMDA and the Singapore Film Commission on initiatives that promote best practices for using Generative AI in content creation, ensuring public credibility while tackling the challenges posed by disinformation.
Uma Rudd Chia is a Co-founder and Executive Creative Director of KVUR, serves on the board of SMU, and has given talks about the ethics of AI, emphasizing how we can protect the truth of our history in this digital age. She will bring her unique perspectives—journalistic, technological, and ethical—to share practical ideas and strategies for tackling fake news with AI.
Moderator: Siok Siok Tan is a filmmaker and innovator whose works explore the nexus of humanity, social change and technology. Her documentaries and mobile photography have captivated global attention from CNN to the Guardian, from the People’s Daily to the Times of India, Her storytelling transcends mediums, advocating for a future where technology empowers humanity. Her latest work is AI for Humanity (Wiley 2024), an interdisciplinary collaboration with an AI scientist and AI governance expert.
