This hike will take us through the fascinating Chilworth Gunpowder Works, up to the breathtaking views at St. Martha’s Hill, and along the peaceful River Wey. It’s the perfect way to spend a crisp day outdoors, blending history, stunning landscapes, and a sense of community. Whether you’re a history buff, nature lover, or just looking for a great day out, this adventure has something for everyone!

HOW TO GET THERE
By Public Transport:
Train: Take a train from London Waterloo to Shalford Station (South Western Railway). The journey takes approximately 50 minutes.
By Car:
Parking: Limited parking is available near Shalford Station. Use postcode GU4 8BZ for navigation.
WHAT TO BRING AND WEAR
Daypack or small rucksack
Reusable water bottle
Snacks or a sandwich
Warm layers: beanie, gloves, scarf, raincoat, and waterproof shoes
Optional: Camera or binoculars for wildlife

Tickets are £10 per person.
Your ticket includes:
A guided group hike led by one of our amazing MLA hosts, Cláudia! The hike will last between 2 to 4 hours, with the possibility of a slightly longer duration if we make any impromptu scenic stops along the way.
When booking, please provide a mobile number with WhatsApp access. Once booked, you'll receive a ticket and be added to our WhatsApp group, where event details will be shared.
