Sui Developers Meetup & Workshop
Join us for this comprehensive intro to SUI blockchain in Split, Croatia!
Prior to SUI Blockchain's first flagship conference in Paris in early April of this year, the meetup aims to provide developers with a comprehensive understanding of SUI and its unique features.
The event aims to establish local presence in Croatia, foster networking, lead generation, collaboration, and engagement among regional developers and key stakeholders and invite them into the SUI ecosystem and to the Basecamp conference and hackathon in Paris.
Agenda:
1. Icebreaker Round (15 minutes)
Introduction of the 4 Point O Venture Labs Representatives. Each member will briefly introduce themselves, their role, and their involvement in the SUI ecosystem.
Developer Team Introductions: Following our team’s introductions, each participating developer team will have the opportunity to briefly introduce themselves, their projects, and their target from attending the SUI dev meetup. This will encourage networking and facilitate potential collaborations.
2. General Presentation on SUI and the Ecosystem (20 minutes)
Overview of SUI: A comprehensive presentation will be delivered to provide attendees with an in-depth understanding of SUI, its vision, and its mission in the blockchain space. This session will cover the key concepts, benefits, and use cases of SUI.
Mainnet Launch Update: The presentation will include an update on the recent Mainnet launch, highlighting the achievements, milestones, and progress made by the SUI ecosystem since the launch. This will showcase the growth and potential of SUI as a robust blockchain platform.

3. SUI 101 Technical Hands-on Workshop (90 minutes)
Move Programming Language: This workshop will introduce attendees to Move, the programming language used in the SUI blockchain. Participants will learn the fundamentals of Move and understand its role in developing smart contracts and applications on the SUI platform.
Getting Started on SUI: The workshop will provide practical guidance on setting up the development environment for SUI. Participants will learn how to deploy smart contracts, interact with the blockchain, and utilize SUI's unique features. Hands-on exercises and coding examples will be provided to facilitate learning and experimentation.

4. Q&A and Open Discussion (30 minutes)
Question and Answer Session: Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification on any aspects related to SUI, its technology, ecosystem, or future plans. Experts from the SUI Foundation and 4 Point O Venture Labs will be available to address queries and provide insights.
Open Discussion: An interactive discussion will be facilitated to encourage attendees to share their thoughts, ideas, and feedback. This session aims to foster collaboration, gather valuable input, and identify potential areas of improvement or exploration within the SUI ecosystem.

Andrej Saric (CTO) - Experienced Software Engineer and long-term lecturer at Rochester Institute of Technology who’s worked on numerous projects, including web-based solutions, mobile apps, wearables, IoT, dApps, and smart contracts. With a passion for emerging technologies, Andrej fully transitioned to Web3, contributing to multiple chains and building products that bridge the gap between Web2 and Web3. Before going into Web3, Andrej built multiple smart city projects in which he successfully integrated IoT in our everyday life; projects that he worked on are in the areas of Smart Community, People Flow, Sustainability and Mobility.
