Linocut Stamp Carving Workshop with Beck
Join us for an evening of creativity and guided learning. We'll explore the art of block printing using linoleum blocks to carve our very own, one-of-a kind stamps. These stamps can be used to print on paper or fabric.
The evening will start with some warm-ups to get us in a creative flow. Then Beck will guide us through the basics of designing, carving and printing before we bump the music up and let your creativity run wild.
Included:
All carving tools, ink & paper printing materials
1st glass of wine/non-alcoholic beverage included in ticket. Additional drinks and food available for purchase.
Beck Samelson (they/them) is a multi-disciplinary artist working across a range of mediums including printmaking, embroidery, paint, and ink. They began developing their art practice seven years ago and haven't stopped learning and trying new techniques and mediums since. They draw inspiration from vintage illustrations, the natural landscape of Southern California, and the experience of being queer and disabled. They run a small business, b.sam studio, through which they offer workshops and sell handmade art pieces and upcycled clothing. You can find their most recent work on instagram @b.sam.studio
